Pioneering the Future of Smart Buildings: Introducing openDBL at SmartBuilt4EU 

At the recent 'Smart Buildings in Europe' Conference in Brussels, Soumya Kanti Datta from Digiotouch unveiled the ambitious EU-funded Horizon Europe project, openDBL, to an engaged audience. This conference, held on March 23rd, 2023, and organized by the SmartBuilt4EU project alongside the European Commission, served as a significant platform for this introduction.

The openDBL project is set to revolutionize the Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Operations (AECO) industry with its innovative Digital Building Logbook (DBL) solution. This initiative focuses on creating a unified, open, and secure platform, addressing the challenges of BIM interoperability and the fragmented nature of the AECO industry. openDBL aims to streamline the AECO supply chain's workload, enhance DBL usability in a harmonized way, and promote broader adoption and economic sustainability through a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) demonstration and strategic business planning.

Digiotouch plays a crucial role in openDBL, leading the dissemination and communication of the project's objectives, activities, and outcomes. Additionally, the company is instrumental in conducting stakeholder analysis and clustering activities, aligning openDBL with similar European and international initiatives.
