Soumya, Digiotouch Founder, is a winner of the second open call of EU H2020 project StandICT.eu. His proposal to develop "Next-gen Standards for IoT" has been approved from 118 eligible applications. He will work towards reinforcing European presence in the international ICT standardisation scene through 3 structured steps -
Monitoring and gathering information on the on-going work from the relevant international and global SDOs.
Participate and contribute to key SDOs setting ICT standards.
Creating positive impact on business and research opportunities from ICT standardisation.
StandICT.eu, “Supporting European Experts Presence in International Standardisation Activities in ICT”, addresses the need for ICT Standardisation and defines a pragmatic approach and streamlined process to reinforce EU expert presence in the international ICT standardisation scene. This is aimed at the Digital Single Market (DSM) initiative focusing on boosting Europe’s competitiveness throughout multiple industrial and service sectors. Five priority domains are highlighted as the building blocks of the DSM: 5G, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, Cybersecurity and Big Data.
