CReAT-Cybersecurity Framerwork For IoT Plateforms

Current IoT market lacks a comprehensive assessment of resilience to Cyber attacks for the End-to-End IoT Platforms. Digiotouch addressed this gap in the CReAT experiment of EU H2020 Fed4FIRE+ Project. Through the experiment, Digiotouch has developed a Cybersecurity framework comprising of - (i) a novel risk assessment methodology for End-to-End IoT Platforms and (ii) a Cyber attack resilience readiness indicator. Digiotouch utilized Fed4FIRE+ federated infrastructures (i.e. two Testbeds from IMEC) to execute three simulated and known Cyber attacks (i.e. DDoS, insufficient authentication/authorization, and insecure Cloud web services) to test the developed framework on the Cloud based Paradise IoT Platform. The experiment results are disseminated through an Invited talk in an IEEE International Workshop on Industrial IoT in Liverpool

Digiotouch has successfully completed the project review of this experiment in 5th Fed4FIRE+ Engineering Conference (FEC5) in Copenhagen during 24-25 April 2019.

About Fed4FIRE+ project - It is a project under the European union’s programme horizon 2020, offering the largest federation worldwide of Next Generation Internet (NGI) testbeds, which provide open, accessible and reliable facilities supporting a wide variety of different research and innovation communities and initiatives in Europe, including the 5G PPP projects and initiatives. It started in January 2017 and will run for 60 months, until the end of September 2021. The Fed4FIRE+ project is the successor of the Fed4FIRE project. Fed4FIRE+ project has received funding under grant agreement No 732638 from the Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme, which is co-funded by the European Commission and the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation.
